Summary

A homeowner in Ypsilanti needed a way to reduce radon levels in their house, especially with exposed soil in the crawlspace. We installed an exterior radon mitigation system and sealed the crawlspace to help address this concern.

The Work

Installed a sub-membrane depressurization radon system using an exterior pipe route
Sealed the crawlspace floor with a vapor barrier and airtight seals

The Outcome

The home now has a dedicated radon mitigation system that pulls gas from below the crawlspace and vents it safely outside. With the vapor barrier and improved seals, the risk of radon entering the living space is greatly reduced. The homeowner can monitor the system and test radon levels with greater confidence.
