Summary

Concerns about radon led a homeowner in Grand Ledge to seek a reliable mitigation system for their property. We were called in to install an exterior radon mitigation system designed to reduce radon levels and improve indoor air quality.

The Work

Installed a sub-slab depressurization system with an exterior pipe route using schedule 40 PVC
Sealed the sump basin with a clear polycarbonate cover for an airtight fit
Upgraded to a medium in-line radon fan for improved airflow and effectiveness
Added a pressure gauge and an audible system alarm for easy monitoring
Sealed up to 10 feet of minor foundation cracks

The Outcome

The home is now protected by a system that draws radon from beneath the foundation and vents it safely outside. Monitoring features make it easy for the homeowner to keep track of system performance. Indoor air quality is improved, and the home is better protected against radon risks.
