Summary

Radon can be a hidden concern in many homes, especially when it's not obvious where it might be entering. We were called to help make a home in Grand Ledge safer by installing a reliable radon mitigation system.

The Work

Installed an exterior sub-slab depressurization system using schedule 40 PVC piping from the basement floor to the outside
Sealed the sump basin with a clear polycarbonate sheet and ensured an airtight seal where needed
Placed a standard radon fan powered by an existing electrical outlet and included a pressure gauge for ongoing monitoring
Sealed up to 10 feet of small cracks and provided a radon test kit for the homeowner

The Outcome

The new radon system offers the homeowner a way to actively monitor and reduce radon levels. With the added pressure alarm and clear seals, the home is better protected from hidden radon entry points.
